First , kudos to myself for the alliteration in the title:D

Anyway, after going down the sane medical route i have come to you guys/gals for some assistance/advice;). It seems (through no fault of my own) that the right side of my beard is going white as well as a little bit around the right side of my head.

Anyone got any thoughts , my GP (after about 30secs of looking ) said it might be some pigment problem . Not utterly fussed but it does look rather odd that it is soo precisely down the center of my beard, absolutely nothing on the left off my beard/head. I have to the conclusion that i got struck by lightning , or I'm some kind of messiah :D

So any nice words of advice

Dye the other side to match. A white beard is cool, plus it will help if you do live action roleplaying as a magic-user.

Shave it off, I dont get why so many people think growing a beard is a good idea anyway, hardly anyone pulls it off and from the look of that picture I dont reckon you would even if it didnt look like you hadn't spilt milk in it.

As for the bit on the side of your head, thats different. A beard is choice, if you're goin gray on the hair on your head then thats bad luck, if I were you I'd sneak out in the middle of the night and buy myself some "just for men" or whatever its called and dye that sucka out.

I have shaved it off several times and i just get very 'shiny' white stubble that makes the black stubble on the left even more prominent. Its not grey, it really is just completely white

The pigment in your hair, I'm being told by my beloved OH who knows a thing or two about this, is in the centre of each strand of hair. If the hair is damaged, then air can enter the strand and then the surface is no longer in contact with the pigment so it appears white. This is different to grey hair, I'm being told, and can be caused by damage to the roots.

On the other hand, he may have caught too much sun today, but it is weird isn't it? Sometimes you see people with white streaks in their hair, so I guess this is the same, just in your face, Man. :D
