Hey guys, sat here pulling my hair out! my sisters laptop now for a few weeks has been playing up but we put it down to a rubbish repair and thought it had a hardware issue so was about to send it back when my mums tips up with the same problem.

Ive reinstalled windows on my sisters laptop and my mums was fine before yesterday her school techie decided to re install from the recovery partition Ive not changed anything in the router but now thats doing the same

My network is secure with WPA enabled the laptops connect, show full signal but have no internet? I can ping them, my main machine has connection and the wireless one downstairs does too but I cant seem to get a webpage at all on these 2 laptops.

I reseted the router about 20 mins ago got my sisters to work for 10 mins got Chrome downloaded and that was it, wont do anything now

Ive disabled the WPA, changed it to WEP and used a different key, changed the Wireless SSID for the sake of it everything I can think of ive tried and was wondering if theres someone out there that can help :(

Ive also reset the router to factory settings and still no luck :/ Ive also tried the following:

"Reset TCP/IP Stack
You can try to reset the TCP/IP stack in Windows to possible repair the Internet connection if it is corrupted. Go to Start, Run and type in CMD. Type the following commands:

netsh int ip reset reset.log
netsh winsock reset catalog"

Still nada :(

1) does ping to www.google.co.uk from the laptops work ok?
2) if 1 fails can you ping the default gateway
3) disable windows firewall, and any other firewall on the machines
4) if the machines had norton, mcrappie, bull guard at any point since the restore download and run the removal utilitys

do 4 EVEN if you have uninstalled them...
