If I buy this via direct2drive on fileplanet (says US and canada only so im guessing its the US realms only) can I use the CDkey to play on EU realms? Its the only place I know where I can legally get a CDkey to start playing again -.-

You can get a cd key direct from blizzard surely?

sorted, you can get a CDKEY via the WOW eu website by making a trial account then upgrading through that online ^_^

Todays culture doesn't want it in a days time, it doesn't want it in the morning. It wants it now, live, on-demand and delivered to your hard drive within thirty seconds by a guy on a bike, who says "Thanks for shopping with speedy joes!".

It's the era of high speed interweb, cable, foxtel, msn, abc, bbq, givemeallyourabbreviations, lightspeed synchronous peer-to-peer download upstream ip-freely whoneedstheshops. Why should this man have to leave his house?

POWER TO THE PEOPLE!

You still have to buy the boxed game and stick the key in.

Some sites offer a cdkey sending service for ~£15.99 but it's very dodgey, I tried 3 and ended up shouting down a phone each time to get my money back.

to answer the question - no, you cannot play on EU realms with the US version of the game or vice versa regardless of CD keys

Yeh you can.

My friend downloaded a trial about 6 months ago, but it was a us trial.

i posted on here i think, or read it somewhere, you can change a line in some sort of document, that tells it to connect for eu realms. Worked fine as well.

i didnt think it was- i even bought US and EU versions a long time ago. but i have just looked through the files and found if you edit realmlist.wtf you can indeed do this. good find !

You people do realise that 5 mins after I posted this I got what I needed directly from blizzards own website right? Or do reading skills come hard to some of you? I've had more than enough stuff to do today than go for a treck into town to pick up a copy AND ive already got the cd's anyway
