I've got a weird problem with my XFI... I install everything from the cd and it all installs fine now... and i have sound from the computer so the card is obviously working.

But whenever i try and get into any of the settings i.e. Creative Console Launcher it just gives me a message saying:

The current selected audio device is not supported by the application.

So i cant alter any settings, yet i can hear audio from music, games, film etc.

fixed it.

Lol.. everytime i post a problem i fix it straight away. It seems when i post here it gives me inspiration to fix it.

Thanks to everyone here.. and to this forum love it! :)

P.s. I uninstalled all XFI drivers and software.. cleaned the registry of creative entries...took the card out and restarted... just for luck.. turned the pc off.. put the card back in.. booted up.. installed the drivers and such.. Problem solved...... for now

Next time you have this problem be sure that Windows has not defaulted to onboard sound as the Audio device. Go into your control panel and select Sound and Audio Devics. From the Control Tab select Audio and select your device from the drop down menu. The most common is AC97 audio which is sometimes left enabled. You can disable this in your Bios quickly and easily.

I hope thiss of some help to you for future reference.
