Hey

Specs in my sig.

Ive got the following problem. Say, in BC2, when I have 80+ or so FPS, it doesnt feel like it's over 60 at all, it just seems kind of sluggish than say over 60 in FC2 or other games. It just feels really weird, im not sure if im overreactiong but Iive never had this issue with any other game.

Drivers up to date. everything is up to date, tbh.

Any ideas ? Game is patched.

Is this only at the beginning when you load the map? I have a 560Ti and it feels sluggish at the beginning, but it runs fine after.

Input lag?

Care to explain ?

@Confused: Yeah I get that too at the beggining, and notice a massive difference straight after, but what I meant is overall throughout the play of the map. It's quite hard to explain but it doesnt feel like 60+ FPS at all, 50-55 at most. (Yes im sure its running at 60+)

Res is 1680x1050

Input lag tends to be attibuted to monitors and is the delay measured from when you say, move the mouse, to the moment you see that mouse movement happening on the screen.

Have you got vsynch enabled?

I don't... would that improve the situation?
I guess there wouldn't be any "tearing"?

Mouse is responding fast, no input lag in that case, then.

Vsync off. When I do turn it on THEN it causes my mouse to lag.

Vsych can cause your frame rate to drop considerably as it is trying to synchronise with the refresh rate of your monitor to stop the tearing effect. Worth trying it on and off and seeing which suits you best.

I have noticed a bit of stuttering with BC2 in the past but not lately - it seemed that the hard drive was still busy loading the map and it caused the FPS to drop - noticed it more with Vietnam.

The only other thing I can suggest is try a different set of display drivers. If you've not had this problem before and you are running the lastest drivers then it may be worth installing the previous driver release instead and seing how that goes.

What's the refresh rate of the monitor? If it's 60hz then surely it's because the monitor can't physically display more then 60fps?

there is reported problems with PB with bfbc2, PB starts using crazy amounts of cpu power and that hits performance, try on an unranked server to see how smooth it can be
