Weirdest thing... display B&W on a laptop

Never seen this before..

Dell E6510 laptop.. Outside of the o/s (bios start screen etc) colour, but as soon as the o/s loads, everything is in B&W.

about to uninstall the display driver and re-install... But really never have i ever seen this before... no real settings that i can think of, that forces b&w...
 
I'm thinking someone's pressed a hotkey combination linked into the graphics driver for colour vibrance or some accessibility mode. Check the advanced properties.

What's the graphics chip?
