Ive worked in a number of peoples houses so I know this is pretty common.

Why in gods name do people collect dolls? its the most freaky scary obsession Ive ever seen.

If you look on QVC now they are selling dolls and the woman who is promoting them is talking to a doll as if its a real child.

I dont know if it stems from something like infertility or similar. But its totally messed up.

Does anyone, or have any family members that collect scary *lifelike* dolls of children?

Even at my tender age of 24, i would still have difficulty sleeping in a room full of dolls!

Edit :Title should be weirdoS and dolls! :(

People collect whatever floats their boat I suppose. And most of it for me is weird. Though people think my thing, i.e. headphones is a strange one.

My mum buys a doll now and again. The one's which are dressed and sit in the box. Everytime I go into the bedroom I'm sure she's plotting against me and she looks evil and I don't like her. :(

I have an Aunt that used to have a full sized one that stood in the corner of the living room. It wasn't scary but it didn't make me jump when I caught a glimpse from the corner of my eye! :p

Theres these ones Ive seen that are like a toddler playing hide and seek. They stand and face the wall in the corner.

Probably the scariest ones ive seen :(

You'd love the guy who lives opposite me. He collects clowns, talk about a closet serial killer. The lifesize "John Wayne Gacy" clown is slightly sinister as it's sitting in a rocking chair in his front-room lookin at itself in a mirror.

Isn't there a guy on here who works with another guy that has a real doll. It was on a channel four documentary not so long ago FREAKS!

I just watched the clip there... I skipped slightly through but got the impression that one of the women lost a child... then in the end the other woman suprised her with what was probably a doll replacement.

Now I hope I never experience anything like what that woman has went through... but I think getting a doll is seriously messed up
