I've just formatted a couple of computers and I'm having issues with the welcome screen. I only have the one account on both computers so when I turn them on I want them to run straight through to the desktop without the welcome screen.
I can't remember the exact settings I used to have to allow me to do this but I'm pretty sure I just turned off "Use the welcome screen" under user accounts in the control panel. I then used tweak UI and set the option "Log on automatically at startup".
This works first time round but afer a reboot or two it resets itself so the welcome screen goes back to displaying on boot. When I go back into tweak UI the box has unticked itself
.
Any ideas what's going on?
I think I remember seeing some values in the registry that you could change which would turn it off. Would doing this be a better idea?
Thanks for any help.
