Welkin4591 (Planetside 2?)

I've come across this game - Welkin4591 (there was an article in pc gamer) and it is a Chinese remake or version of planetside. originally it was planned as a chinese only release i think, but a planetside outfit called Azure Twilight found it and got into the game and started to translate it. if you believe what the devs say, if the interest in english speaking countries is high enough then they'll make an english server.

I would play it if it was English, Although if it is like PS you don't need to read much. Planetside was ace, the dev support let it down.

First I've seen of this. Definitely looks to be a step up from planetside in terms of game engine and net code. Physics look a lot better with no warping but then for all I know that video could be running on gigabit LAN.

Just an upgraded planetside wouldn't be good enough for me now. I'd need to see objectives both long-term and immediate objectives (WAR style) to make it feel like the endless war has a point. Also ongoing development would be critical.

If they can bring these things together then the game would deserve to be a winner.
