Well after all the wait...

I Collected my motherboard from the postal depot,

Spent about 2 hours building my system (im a bit of a noob)...

And considering i didnt format windows, it all worked! hahaha

no major driver conflicts yet, although i can definately see some sluggish moments due to something iffy!

No idea how it all worked without uninstalling ANY old drivers. I dunno if there is old DFI files, or anything else lurking, but all i know is that it all actually worked. Which im proud of!

Can anyone tell me if i was right to have both of my ram sticks in the 2 righthand slots? or should i have had them in matching colours? (asus p5n-esli mobo)

I would overclock it, but with the stock cooler, im terrified. I aint even ran a game yet because they are installed on slavedrive i aint hooked up yet.

I sent some to tom but we have decided they are too crap due to the lack of light and my crumby phonecam.

Ill get better pics tomorrow, and spend a bit more time sorting cables

[edit: apologies, i just realised how pointless this post was. Um, yeah looks like you need to work on the cable management a bit! could slide some of those behind the mobo to better your airflow. grab some cable ties for now and order some sleeves

Ok done it and it worked , performance is wicked compared to old system , Oblivion and CSS getting caned

shame the sound drivers wont work, gonna have to work it out tonight
