Well guys after having 2 x79 boards and not being able to get to grips with the bioses i have bit the bullet and ordered a ASUS RAMPAGE IV FORMULA for delivery tomorrow.

I missed my Z77 Gene for overclocking simplicity and a smooth fluid bios so its off back to Asus i go and hopefully a better experience (again)

Tbh i dont thing i will ever go to another motherboard manufacturer again.

I have not tried Samsung on RIVE so not sure about its clocking abilities. Others on here have had mixed results I think. Ultimately its down to the IMC on chip these days.

ASUS boards like G.SKILL RAM if I was you I would look at G.SKILL above Geil just for compatibility on the board. There RipjawZ 2133mhz 9-11-10-28 Kit is a decent option or There 2400mhz RipjawZ 11-11-11-31 kit is also very Good.

The Geil use Hynix chips would they be better than the samsung ?

4x4gb will be best unless you plan on getting another 2x8 in the future for 32gig,keep us informed how you get on with it i might get the same when i get my formula

4 x 4GB The board is quad channel so to take advantage of the added bandwidth this offers you need 4 sticks.

No I have not mate used the blue tooth mate.

I use ROG connect all the time when Bench marking and the OC key too on Both RIVE and MVE. These are great for on the fly changes to your system.
