Well impressed with EA support

... the OP was praising EA customer support and all you lot just harp on about DRM .... from other posts in the game section the replies are either abusive or nothing to do with the topic. Terrible forum.

OP was praising EA customer support on a topic about DRM. Get a grip.

To be honest, instead of praising EA support, I would be complaining that I had to contact EA support to install a game I'd paid for.

If this is such a "Terrible forum." then you're fully welcome to vacate and find somewhere else. You won't be missed.

Well it's hardly off topic, he was praising customer support that he only had to use at all because EA put stupid restrictions on their games that benefit no one.

Nothing in here was abusive... so yeah, what was your point again? Moaning about off topic posts with an even more off topic post of your own? Good work there.

A voucher code wouldn't work for me, they said what game were you using it on, and consequently I got Need for Speed Shift free.

Few years back with some sort of medal of honor game, (PA i think), i went to play multiplayer, had to register it to a name. Chose one but it was already in use, accidentally clicked the wrong thing and it chose some random one.

I had to email ea 5 times to get a response regarding changing it / resetting it.

I even provided the game receipt, photo id, a photo of my self holding the receipt prooving it was me and my email address contains my name (shown on photo id) but they still wouldnt do it.

The OP had a better experience than me.

I had a problem with Burnout paradise, I couldn't get it to get past the loading screen. I got the runaround from their tech support, with two different assistants both asking stupidly simple questions that I'd answered in my original description of the problem. I gave up after 2 weeks - I didn't get any offers of free games! :(
Many months later, I tried running it again after I found a workaround and got it working. No thanks to EA.
