Heya guys, I've been tempted to buy since I gave away my 2009 rig to my bother last year. Thought I'd retire for a while but I need to get back in.
With the GTX 1080 finally out, 1440p actually becoming a thing, Skylake feeling 'current enough', and games out or coming like Star Citizen, Battlefield 1, Mass Effect 4, Overwatch, and ARMAIII, I need to join the fray again
Finally ready to commit to my 2016 build, my first complete self purchase to last me the next 4-5 years for 1440p gaming goodness.

I'm planning on calling/messaging to OCUK to ask if they can hopefully put the thing together for me and install the 2x front fans and apply some nice cable management I'm savvy enough to replace things, figure some cables out, OC the cpu and ram timings, etc, but not confident or time abundant enough to build it myself from scratch.

Intention of build:
- 99% gaming
- 1% light work/productivity
- rig will be paired with an Predator X34 3440x1400 21:9 ultrawide monitor.

Areas where I still feel a little uncertainty:
- compatibility between components,
- DDR4,
- 750W being enough power.

I would greatly appreciate any thoughts from the experienced folks around here on my parts list.

Thanks for the feedback guys. It's those little intricacies that help.
Definitely switching to a 'gold' PSU.
I'm considering switching to OEM CPU and OS.
Still researching any real benefits of the 850 evo vs 850 pro to potentially switch to the evo.
Not necessarily keen on switching to some of the more expensive Mobos suggested with reasoning why.

The only other thing I'd suggest if you can push your budget slightly is ordering an additional two 140mm fans to replace to stock ones on your aio cooler as stock corsair fans tend to be noisy. The Apache blacks come very highly recommended and move a lot of air https://www.overclockers.co.uk/akasa-ak-fn062-apache-black-super-silent-140mm-fan-4-pin-pwm-fg-064-ak.html.

In fact I'd drop the Phanteks fans and order a total of 5 apache's, two for the aio and then two intake and one exhaust.

Is there anything particularly special about switching from my select phantek fans to your suggested ones? Will they push a lot more air into case or something?

Any particular reason you're not making use of that m2 interface? I upgraded recently and bought a 950 pro and it beats the pants off my 850 pro.

Do you mean one of these?

Honestly, I had one in my cart before checkout at one point, because I heard they were 'cool' for putting your OS on for a fast boot.
But further research told me that you're not really going to get any gaming benefit and required some real taxing file movement activity to get value out of it.

But I'm totally open to hear your experience; what was the upgrade like for you? What made it better? My interest comes mostly from a gaming perspective.
