Hey 8pack

Been out of the OC club for a good few years and trying to help a friend OC his new Ivy rig.

Not done much testing so far, literally just done;

Specs
3570k, 16gb corsair ram, UD3H

Manual vcore: 1.2v
Multi: 44
Ram: running XMP profile

1.2v for 4.4ghz which boots into windows runs 10 mins occt hits 75c (stock cooler ATM). Terminated by me as I'm just trying to see how high to go with the vcore (don't want to go more on stock cooler, as already at 75c!)

I've tried 4.5ghz but instant bsod just after bios screen.

I haven't altered any llc, pll settings etc yet. I wanted to ask you if you have any recommendations for settings I could try to see if I can get to boot at 1.2v at 4.5ghz?

Also, what's the current 4.4ghz at 1.2v clock like, any good or average?

Best app to stress test? ( as well as your reccomended pc use and games)

Thanks :)

Thanks! Yeh been running stock, for now. Looking to upgrade the cooler soon to something decent.

re; 16gb its used on a rig that does gaming and video/photo editing so it'll need to stay! (have read about the extra strain on the IMC)

Having a hard time trying to gauge what volts are in what ball park figure (last time I clocked, ocuk posts had the excel spreadsheet on page 1 of peoples overclocks so was a lot easier to see the 'average' voltage for x ghz) lol

8Pack,or others, from experience, any ballpark figures - such as 1.3v for 4.5ghz etc?
