Welsh dragon call for Union flag

I'm welsh and think the idea is stupid. It sounds like a one man crusade to change the flag when nobody even uses it for anything anyway. I bet half of us couldn't draw an accurate union jack anyway.
 
News just in, an improved UK flag is to be launched in 2008. Here's a sneak preview.

If Wales has to be different and have a horrifically stupid complicated flag with a dragon on it then its their choice, but they shouldnt then be suprised when the Union flag is made up of the simpler designs :p

My dads side of the family is Welsh but he has lived in England almost all his life, so have I.

Doesn't stop me spending as much time in wales as possible.

No real demand for IT jobs there and I married an English girl who lives in Derby.

Would like to retire to the Welsh hills.
 
What a stupid idea! It would cost many millions, across the world!!! Just think of how many flags there must be in total that would need changing... I think it would be much easier and cheaper to just change the welsh flag to look like part of the Union flag.
 
Tell the lot of them to **** off, I say time for England to be rid of the kids and enjoy her retirement.

I used to love the UK and all her people, we were once a strong union, something to be proud of; that was until all this devolution crap which has given the provinces free reign to be racist (even though we are not different races :rolleyes: ) towards the English. I no longer love the UK, I love England and strongly dislike the tinpot little hangers on. I say good riddance to the lot of them and don't come back with the begging bowl when you realise that you are not real countries and cannot survive in the real world without the bankroll. As for the flag, I see only The Cross of St George with some graffiti on it, time to clean it up. :)
 
it would never work if they changed it, there would be so many flags to change, and come ther 12th over here people would be ****** off haha :p

in all fairness england is the worst part of the UK lol.

I hope you realise that Wales played a key role in Englands domination of the world, you were provided with some of the best longbowmen of the time. England could have been useless without us :p

Pfft, why spoil the Welsh flag by mixing it in with the Union flag? I'm rather proud that ours is the longest current serving national symbol in the world!
 
From a design point of view a dragon wouldn't integrate well with the union jack. It'd either stand out too much or just look stupid, IMO!

And it's a little pathetic just to change a flag, and spend loads of money, for what sake, to make the welsh feel more involved in the UK!?
