"Wenger won't back down
By SHAUN CUSTIS
ARSENE WENGER has refused to back down over his claim that Arsenal are England's top team.
And he is adamant that, had the title still been up for grabs this weekend, Arsenal would have won.
Manchester United defender and SunSport columnist Rio Ferdinand yesterday insisted Wenger should accept that the Red Devils' title success proves Alex Ferguson's
Old Trafford troops are the best side in the country.
But defiant Wenger claimed United were lucky to have easy matches - against Spurs and Charlton - after their Champions League exit against Real Madrid.
By contrast, the Gunners faced Bolton and Leeds - who were both battling against relegation - during the crunch run-in period.
Highbury chief Wenger said: "United had two flat games - which they got away with because they were against teams with nothing to go for.
"But we were playing teams who were fighting to survive."
The Gunners are at already-relegated Sunderland this Sunday, while United travel to Everton - who are still chasing a UEFA Cup place."
What a complete whinging git, this guy has surpassed anyone else with his ludicrous comments over the past couple of days.
I mean balming it on us having an easier run in cos we played Spurs and Charlton while forgetting we also had Liverpool and Newcastle in our run in while they were playing inferior teams, also the fact that between games when his players had a few days off we were playing Real Madrid !!!
Oh and so what if they knocked us out of the FA cup we took four points off them this year in the league they only got one which again he conveniently forgot.
The guy is an idiot pure and simple.
