Wengers time up?

Ranieri. pochatino and mourinho

Well Jose can't be better than Wenger because the discussion was current PL managers. You also railed on him when he was Chelsea manager and wrote many pieces on why wenger was better and Jose was crap. It was only this season have you forgotten already.

Poch also failed in a wenger way this year. His team gave up as spectacularly as your does, is that a step forward? Possibly.

Ranieri has done a great job this year no doubt but is he a better manager than Wenger? That might be some debate, especially as the last time he had decent resources he couldn't even find a best 8 let alone 11 ;)

You missed out on Klopp, he would have been a positive step forward. Of the current PL managers I can't see anyone else worth taking.

But he's got a boom and bust record. Spectacular success followed by spectacular failure. Do not want personally.

Yep and not only that, Arsenal wouldn't touch him with a barge pole in all honesty especially after his war of words with Wenger in the past.

It's going to be a very tough job getting someone to replace Wenger, when he does leave. We definitely need a manager who can not only take us forward but also keep us in the top 4.

Penny pinching again?

I think Wenger is great, I also think things will only change at Arsenal once he goes. But that could be for the better as well as for the wost.

I've spoken to Arsenal fans both from the Wenger knows and Wenger out camp.

However I forgot about the penny pinching that he gets up to that supposedly has meant we have missed out on targets in the past. :o

It's time that Wenger stops meddling in the transfer market ie what we should bid and what we should pay players.

I totally get that we shouldn't spend stupid money out of our means but we are a pretty wealthy club. So you know, if there's a real world class player out there then FFS just splash the cash.

Well it seems we got one transfer done. Now we need a ST and CB and I will be happy.

Higuain
Benzema
Morata
Lewandowski (wishful thinking I know)
aubameyang

Any of those would be great :D

Not Benzema, not in a million years is he worth 50m.

Would be open to Higuain but only for decent money, he isn't worth 50m either.

Morata maybe?
Would quite like to take a gamble on someone young..that Janssen or Icardi but Icardi is captain of Inter and has stated he's not leaving.

Should be able to pick that Janssen up for less that 20m.

My concern with morata is his goal scoring track record. We need someone who will for sure come in and bang all those chances we create. Bit of a risk, but better than sticking with what we got.

I would be very happy with Higuain if we can get him for 40m I would be fine with that. Sell Walcott to offset the cost and wages.

We will probably end up keeping Walcott. But do you think anyone would take him for 20m of our hands? He is English so should be a bargain price really :D

I'd love to see Aubameyang at Arsenal, immense goal scorer but again stupid money for him.

Mind u this season gone he really shined, last few seasons under Klopp he wasn't that great, he still scored plenty but as prolific as this season. Perhaps with Lewandowski gone, he's finally taken his chance to shine.

Higuain has been banging them in for fun at Napoli - his record at Real Madrid was also very impressive despite not always being first choice.

Arsenal should have got him while he was available 2 years ago. But he'd still be my no.1 choice.

I'd pay 25m max for Higuain, the guy can't run. Watching the Argentina Germany WC final in Brazil the other night, i really wouldn't be breaking the bank for him. I think he would struggle with the physicality of the PL.

Aubameyang would be the one to go for if we were putting 40m into a striker, not sure if he wants to come to the PL though. He's talked about RM being the one for him..
