Hi folks

I went up the Monument in London today (link)

This is probably the best shot that I managed to take whilst up there - it was a bit crowded! Worth a trip up if you're not claustrophobic!

Excellent view from up there, what can be seen to the right of the view you have shown? I have only been to london twice and I cant really remember, is the eye viewable from up there, I know its futher up the river than tower bridge but that about all, not sure how far back up it is.
I'll post a few more pics later this afternoon :) The eye is visible, along with most other tall London landmarks

I was just thinking what a great vantage point, till I saw that its a really tall stick. Think I'll be sticking to the ground
lol - you'll definitely be avoiding it when I post the pics of the stairwell... ;)

No 360 Degree Panoramics ?

For Shame! :p
There is a cage around the top, which, combined with the crowds of people, would make this pretty tricky.

Unfortunately the sun was pretty powerful (which helped my other shots of the day) but made shooting west pretty tricky, hence no shots of the London Eye came out. Here are a few of the other pics I took, which I don't consider very good, but gives you an idea of what can be seen.

And here's a really crap shot of the stairwell, which was very gloomy, hence ISO1600 and 1/5sec wobbly handheld exposure.

By the way, there is pretty much no way you'd be able to use a tripod at the top, space is very tight and there are crowds of people!
