The i-mate JAMin...... aka S200....... Plus Orange M..../Voda ?/MDA small thing with wifi/XDA what ever, is now out and about in the UK in limited supplies atm. So anyone got there hands on this beast yet? For people who don’t know what it is, click . In short its the updated version of the i-mate jam/xda mini, mda compact that was much love on here around a year ago. Now has WM 05 and wifi to add to the great features from the JAM. Is available now from here CHEAP! For around £80 on a £30 p/m contract, not to bad is it?

So what are people thinking ok it? Was going to wait for the XDA atom but might get this now, what are you views on the ATOM compared with the JAMin.

Also anyone know if the i-mates JAMin/S200 from here are UK phones with UK chargers and books?

If anyone has it now and want to right a few words that would be great, and even better if you added some pictures with it.

Quite a few threads discussing this phone at the moment.
The main things that are holding me back are the 200mhz processor (I don't know if this is as zippy as the original Jam) and the new Mitac phone with built in GPS, WiFi etc.
Plus if I am to get another of these type of phones I think I would really like co-pilot 6 with it.

Hmmm apparently the A701 doesn't have WiFi but the A700 has WiFi and GPS but is a bit ugly.
Gah decisions, decisions.

Try the Eten M600 - very similar to the JAMin but has a 400Mhz (Samsung) cpu

Or the Eten G500 - GPS, but no wi-fi
http://www.etencorp.com/products/Communication/G500.php

Jam has a 416MHz Intel cpu
KJam has 200Mhz TI OMAP 850 cpu
Jamin has 200Mhz TI OMAP 850 cpu
Mio A700 & A701 each have 520Mhz Intel PXA270 cpu
Eten G500 & M600 each have 400Mhz Samsung S3C2440 cpu

The MHz rating is probably irrelevant as the cpu's are different.

Ahh, my bad. I thought it still had the 416MHz Intel cpu rather than the 200MHz TI. :)

In that case is it the Atom which has the Intel chip?

edit: Yep just checked, the Atom has the 416MHz (is it bulvedere?? too many CPU model names in my head to decide :D)

1 more month and I can get my KJam, been loving my MDA compact, but I'd like the keyboard that the KJam sports, and it's only slightly thicker and heavier than the MDA compact :D
