my fiancee has started running with me recently. she has some standard nike trainers she uses for gyming at the moment but complains of pain in the insides of her calfs.

shes managed 3 months of running now and looks like she will stick at it so i thought she might as well get some decent running shoes fitted.

is there any stores in particular that will get them fitted properly? i am assuming jjb and the like wont do that.

thx.

Nope have a look for a running shop in your area, they will do what's called a gaits analyst.

You can do one of two things here, buy the reccomended trainers or go back and buy them online normally at a fair reduction.

A decent shop will let you try the trainers on, and have a bit of a runin them.

Forgot I made this thread. I shall have a google for this gaits thing :p

Don't Spose anyone knows anywhere around Manchester?

I had gait analysis done at the one in Leeds. The staff were super friendly and seemed to know their stuff. I got a pair of Brooks Trance 9's that were in the sale. Was good to see that I wasn't just pushed towards the most expensive pair.
