Werid Icon on Windows 10 desktop

Icon is that weird little circle thing thats over the clock.

Its not a monitor overlay.

ive looked at recently installed stuff and everything seems legit

its unclickable it seems to do nothing

It is probably something really obvious but i cant work it out

anyone please help me from going mental

Windows 10 home premium.

I had to take pic with my phone because it wont show up on print screen... confused me even more?

Nvidia ? shadowplay... im really clueless.

I'm guessing its some kind of 'I'm syncing' notification, does it spin round?

Nvidia Shadowplay recording enabled on desktop? been a while since I last used it but the icon looks similar.

I've asked for this to be moved to Windows and other software, as it is a software issue.

Definitely looks like the Shadowplay status indicator though it definitely shouldn't be doing that.

Yup, that icon is to do with Shadowplay. If you've got desktop recording and the status icon enabled, that's what appears. I've got mine set to the bottom left corner of the screen.

Hmm mine still only shows when active and/or shortly after activation/deactivation even with desktop recording enabled, not just sit there showing all the time. That said I've had the status indicator icon break ingame a fair few times and display wrong.
