West Ham to make Pardew statement

can't help but feel west ham would be in a much better position had the takover/mascherano/tevez rubbish not taken place. Pardew is quite unlucky in my eyes.

Especially when they new regime comes in and sees them get tonked 4-0! :p

Is the new owner a West Ham fan? I seem to recall he is. I'd put money on Curbishley tbh.

Being a West Ham supporter I'm quite gutted that they have sacked Pardew and should've given him more time.

I do feel the argies situation didn't help and that Pardew had his arms tied regarding them.
The West Ham players need to take a long hard look at themselves as this season they have not performed to what they are capable of.
Reo-coker, Etherington, Harewood, among others have been well below par and I'm sure the new manager will shake them up or they are out!

Curbs would be a welcome sight at Upton Park and could steer this rocky ship back on course.

Good luck to Pardew and many thanks for all the help he has given getting us back in to the Premiership and playing good attackive football!

Someone on talkSport made a good point about Slaven Bilic becoming the new manager. I wouldn't be happy with Curbishley if i was a West Ham fan.

I think Reo-coker has let the team down more than the argies, his head has been in the clouds since the gooners came in for him, and he simply hasnt played at all, he was the lynch pin of the team last year and i thought he would be an england fixture this season.

I think this whole affair has been a touch unfair on Pardew.

On paper West Ham have a reasonable set of players and shouldn't need to spend excessively in January except for a RB, assuming they get a decent manager, there's no way they should be in the relegation zone:

..........................Green
RB..........Ferdinand.......Gabbidon.......Konchesky
Benayoun...Reo-Coker...Mascherano...Etherington
...................Ashton...Tevez

OK so Ashton is injured at the mo, but they have hundreds of strikers. Stick Cole, Harewood, Sheringham, Zamora or whoever in there. Same if you don't like Argies (Bowyer for Mascherano).

As I suggested a couple of months ago ( http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?p=8070939#post8070939 ), I can see WH making a move for Curbishley.

Saying on SSN that Magnussons met Curbishley this afternoon looks like this mangerial position is an open and shut case already! Has this been in the offing for a while makes you wonder?
