West Mids get together

So pleased I had mine done - sure it vibrates a bit but did feel really solid banging through the gears. I've had the idle speed changed through K-Pro now to 1k, so it's ok(ish) on idle.

Think it would have been ok if the ignition wasn't being cut every 2 seconds uder full throttle :D . Really does hurt in 2nd and 3rd gear.

Can't believe how cramped it looks inside the rex. Rear seats are a joke, I think they were designed for amputees :p

Be alright shoving two girls in the back - the only way they could sit down would be with their legs up in the air. :D

My internet at home is still dead so haven't had a chance to reply (@work now).

Well what can I say? Was a brilliant meet/drive, great choice of roads and I was well impressed with everyones cars

You're right about that long bumpy straight Merlin, I just couldn't keep the power down, the car was skipping about everywhere, my coilovers are just too hard for roads like that :(

I was fighting with my intake temps all day, averaging between 60-70

Also that bloody boost pipe was a huge PITA, my uber leet ducktape mods didn't hold it together too well, thank god for Simon's tool kit (cheers mate).

I think it was leaking for the whole of the first part before it eventually blew off, because the car felt much stronger after 'fixing' it the first time.

All in all 'twas a great evening

Oh, and the duck-tape mobile will be getting new silicone pipes ASAP ;)

Yeah deffo, after you fixed it you were pulling away convincingly in fifth, even though I could only part throttle you could tell. Were there many flames from the exhaust in the dark when it hit cut? Your's was :D

Before the fix I was expecting you to fly past but you didn't. Guess that might of explained the high inlet temps too as the turbos would have been working silly hard if you had a boost leak.
Those boost pipe fixes were bodgetastic :D

Any idea's on cost wise from Tony Goliath ?

About £1200 will get you the exhaust, filter, bluefin/remap and the down pipe. Add another £250 on if you want a sports cat instead of the decat for MOT/emissions purposes.

£500 + Fitting on top of this would get you a Quaife LSD :D

Yeah it was as flat as a pancake before the first 'fix', I was definately way down on power.

You were getting some nice little flames mate

Only just been able to get on the PC, Jedi beeped at an island so I stopped and spun round to see everything was alright, thinking that one of you 3 would check your mirrors and notice we werent there :p

The police then came and asked if we were alright and asked which way we had just come from, we told them a little lie, obviosuly we had been reported or they had seen us for themselves, who knows.

I was quite impressed with the Rover I have to say, really didnt think a rover would be a match for me in a straight line. I have to say though I didnt give it all its got on the straights, simply because it was getting in to far many tank slappers on the bumps and the brakes are in serious need of work.

We will have to do it another time, sorry it was a brief meet.

Same here, my suspension just isn't cut out for that, I just couldn't get hold of the front end, snaking all over the place, got air off one of the crests, backed off after that, friggin scary.

Well impressed with how yours went round corners - stuck to me like glue round my favourite cloverleaf bend in Redditch.

The Police you spoke to were Bromsgrove Police. We drove into and through Bromsgrove @ 40mph all the way, per the limit.

If someone was reported for misbehaving - it sure as hell wasn't us.

Fair enough though - you wouldnt have known that & didn't know the area so no suprise it kinda freaked you out a bit. Never mind, next time.

We did call you as soon as we found somewhere to stop but you were probably back rolling again :/

Yeah I didnt get the missed call until I was home again. I didnt need to stop but god damn my ass was so numb! It was a bit of a waste of 180 miles but hey I dont care :)

That bend rocks, bigtime

That's bikers bend from last time :D . I didn't push it too hard round there as my oil was low.

I didn't get chance to check mirros , ooops. Hilly was flashing when we stopped at some lights to say we lost you.

Tis lovely, eats tyre shoulder though.

We entered that a bit slow but we got to 61/62mph mid bend, most I've ever done is 64mph in totally perfect conditions so not bad going at all, lovely exit room too, gives the LSD a workout.

Fish hill was great too, although I lost you rounding that bleedin truck.

I did a total of 279 miles, and used £80 of fuel. Ouch. Really ouch.

Although working out at around 15mpg, that isn't that bad for my car when hooning it.

The steady motorway miles helped that.

I didnt get a calm ride back down the M6, i was alright in that 40 zone because everyone did 40, but when we came out i had a Civic type R, a DB-7 and an M3 all try it on with me.

How did they get on?

Civic was a dissappointment, he didnt push past 90, the M3 booted up to 100 infont of me then didnt take it any further, then the DB7 was still with me at well above 100 and a bit more :p

Don't blame us, thank us :p

Just remember you're going to have problems with warranty on obvious stuff. Bluefinn is good as it is reversible.
