So the Westone 3s (which have been referred to as the UM3s for the past ~24 months) are finally out this week with a retail price of $399.99. No word yet on what that will translate into £, but it will most likely lie around £270-£290.

I haven't actually found any UK places selling these headphones, but according to various reports on Head-fi and reviews (google "The Westone 3 Earphones Review") these appear to be the ultimate universal IEM.

I've had my eye on some Sennheiser IE8s to replace my (uncomfortable) Triple.fi 10s but I think it might be silly at this price point to get anything other than the best! Will hopefully have a range of reviews and user feedback within the next month, and presumable we'll start seeing the headphones offered for sale in the UK within the same time frame.

i dont doubt for an instant they will be anything less than awesome, up there with the t.fi 10s and se530's, i would think if they have any sence they will have tried to aim them tonally in between those 2. personaly id sooner spend the money on the um3's than the ie8's (without ever hearing them)

I've been waiting for these for quite a while now, but if they're that expensive, I think I'll wait a few months, to read the reviews and scout around for a decent price, then my triple's may well be on their way.
