How did he get any traction in that? Cool shot
Just amazing control. Great to watch these guys, throwing the bikes sideways, huge wheelies, great fun :-D

Here's a few more from last week, never got round to posting them, been swamped with requests for pics from the riders. Just a pity the weather was so bad

That guy cornering is he really still moving at that angle or did he fall over? Those guys really are nuts and you really do capture that well :)

Cheers, feeling a bit like a one trick pony right now though, haven't shot anything just for fun for ages.

The third shot? He didn't drop the bike, if you check the exif I think that's about 1/500 and there's still movement in the wheels. I was playing about with angles, bit like you see the guys shooting road bikes. If you rotate the shot about 30 degrees anticlockwise that's the true angle, virtually horizontal.

I just tried them this way to give me more of the frame to capture them, i.e. across the diagonal.

great pics dod - i used to own a fantic 303 (an old trials bike) and had amazing fun with it - though these guys look a lot better than I ever was.

Do you ride - or prefer to just take the pics?

Excellent pics as ever, I went to a national event in december that my club were holding and that really was wet, never known a track quite like it! I should have brought my speedo's and gone for a swim in it mid-race :p
