Wetherby services has 7 outlets of Costa!!!

This is absolutely ridiculous and I feel angry just thinking about it... There is a Costa station situated just outside as you walk in to the services. The main costa branch inside is also accompanied by a separate service station just outside of the seating area... Towards the back near the canteen is another Costa station and then there are 2 Costa vending machines in the WH Smith's... As you drive out there is a drive through Costa... And for food measure there are 2 more machines in the BP garage!!!

How has society come to this and what can we collectively do about it?
 
Don't buy it, I can't remember the last time I bought a chain coffee. I rather drink better coffee at home than pay for overpriced crud.
 
Oligopoly, it's the nature of humanity to coalesce, the "free" market just cant exist unfortunately, at least without forcing it to (which also doesn't end up working because, wouldn't you have guessed it, that other nature, corruption).

Also globalism is inherently anti-culture (sure you can argue that you can capitalise on individual cultures... but that is in itself dilution), it's main goal is to ignore nations entirely and the economics of it all will trounce politics almost entirely because the wealth of corporate entities are steadily making them sovereign.
 
This is why, with so many of these chains about, I can't see why so many people are "struggling". I know people who claim they have financial problems but you see them supping lattes out of their takeaway cups and there's no wonder why.

Maybe it's cause they're sad and lonely.
 
I popped into a services the other day, 2 bottles of screen wash for £12... the same bottles are £2.50 at the supermarket :D robbing buggers! :D
