Hi all,

Not bought a monitor for years, currently have a bog standard 27" TN screen - don't really want to go much bigger unless the price doesn't go up to much.

My moon on a stick wish list is:

27"
IPS
HDR
Freesync
144hz
1440p
thin bezzel

Budget is circa £300, possibly a bit more, so which features do I drop for the best overall experience?

My system probably isn't up to 1440 @ 144hz, but will be upgrading maybe next year, I plan on having the monitor for some time, like 10 years or something so want to get it right!

Thanks

You will struggle to get any decent HDR with that budget at 1440 144Hz. As others suggested go for the Dell or LG but these are above your budget of 300. You can shark around for B-grade if that works for you.

Thanks all, that Dell looks just about perfect - can;t get discount but I might just cough up for it.... tempting...
Search through the S2721DG thread for page8#159. A good code was posted. I checked and it still works. Please post you thoughts on the monitor in the thread. It will be great to hear what you think about it. I am surprised OCUK have not listed this yet.

Sweet, just ordered one for £351 which is a bit more palatable!! ... estimated delivery by the 24th :(

Quick decision but it seems to be about as good as I can get, especially with the discount, so thanks for letting me know about that!

HDR 400 is okay as a spec, but don’t expect to use for HDR content, all it guarantees is a certain coverage of the colour gamut, 400 nits brightness and the ability to take a HDR signal.

the certifications are a mess.

a hdr monitor should be at least HDR 600 and you may go blind using it for productivity

Very happy with mine. Delivery seems to be 2-3 days atm.
