Hi,

Looking to be pressing the 'buy' button on a monitor within the next couple of days.

I currently have a 19" Benq, but would like to go Widescreen.

How much bigger would a 22" WD be compared to 19" normal?
And could anyone recommend me a good gaming monitor for £200.

Also, I've seen the OCUK 24" for just over £200, but thinking it might be a bit too big. I have my monitor on a desk and not far from my eyes. So would 24" be too big for my purposes?

Dont worry about whether my gfx can handle the res's. I'm upgrading that too.

If you're not used to it then a 22" will seem big, almost too big. It did for me when I made the same jump. A few months on and that feeling has pretty much worn off.

Well you can according to this guy:

I have the same one and am happy with it. People do seem to rave on about the OcUK 24" though.

Do it, will seem huge at at first but then after about 2 seconds you'll wonder how you managed without one.

The OcUK 24" inch does look like good value but if you're not sat far away then I'd go for a 22".

That's what I thought but I have been using my son's Dell 24" for a few days so is the OCUK monitor really good? Oh and do you know what panel it uses or at least what technolgy. I guess it is TN Film.

It's PVA and dirt cheap at the moment.

You haven't been paying attention have you....:D

A bit wider, nothing special really. If I was upgrading from a 19" 'normal' (presumably 5:4 or 4:3) to a widescreen monitor, I'd want at least a 24". Remember that you get less surface area on a WS monitor compared to a normal one of the same measurement.
