ok guys theres a few to choose from here
I've been using a Geil ULL 1Gb kit to good effect here recently but feel the need for MORE (also how much can I sell that on for?).

so I've looked at the options and want to know what would go best in my DS4

G.Skill 2GB DDR2 NR PC2-6400 (2x1GB) CAS5 Dual Channel Kit
£105.74 inc VAT

GeIL 2GB (2x1GB) PC6400C4 800MHz Ultra Low Latency DDR2 Dual Channel Kit
£117.49 inc VAT

OCZ 2GB (2 x 1GB) PC2-6400 Dual Channel Platinum Revision 2 XTC Series DDR2
£117.49 inc VAT

G.Skill 2GB DDR2 PK PC2-6400 (2x1GB) CAS4 Dual Channel Kit
£117.49 inc VAT

was mainly looking at the above ones but am willing to spend the extra if its worth it for these

Team Elite 2GB (2 x 1GB) DDR2 PC2-6400C5 800MHz Dual Channel Kit
£129.24 inc VAT

Kingston HyperX 2GB (2x1GB) DDR2 PC2-6400C5 Dual Channel Kit
£138.64 inc VAT

Corsair 2GB DDR2 XMS2-6400C5 TwinX
£138.64 inc VAT

has anyone got any experiance with the last three?
personaly I'd have gone the the geil ULL stuff but the OCz is the same price and I recall them being good.

Just repost it mate. Pretty lawless down in the DC dungeon, no mods dare come down here :)

Use the RTM button and give it time. Please don't crosspost.

Anyway, I've used 2GB GeIL PC6400C4 in a DS4 and it's fine at the stock 800MHz, but some reports I've seen indicate that it isn't a good overclocker. Wasn't relevent in my case so as the cheapest option, I got it.

I got my DS4s geil 1Gb to 900 or so (iirc just under for 100% stable) so if I'm able to do that or better with the other stuff its all good!

This Ballistix is.

Easily does 1000mhz @4-4-4-12 or tighter.
hey any idea why everyone recommends the geil and ocz over these
dont the geil and ocz carp out around 940mhz?
also i notice not many people seem interested in the ones i suggested
are they **** i have seen them for £120 for 2 gigs and they are £158 odd on herethese ones is it because they are 2.2 v that nobody likes? or proven worse than the geil and ocz.thanks.

The Geil and OCZ are grand if you don't intend going much over 900mhz. Over that it's worth paying the extra 12 quid for the pc5300 Ballistix. I suppose a lot more ppl have the Geil and OCZ and are just recommending what they have experience with. I had both and they did ~920mhz. That's more than enough for most ppl.

As for the pc6400 Ballistix, even less ppl seem to have them and hence they aren't being mentioned too much. The 2.2v probably doesn't come into it.

I would expect the pc6400 Ballistix to preform much the same as the pc5300 Ballistix, and it's hard to recommend it when it's 30 quid dearer on OcUK.

And finding it cheaper on sale elsewhere is upto to the buyer, not this forums members.
