I had a sapphire vapour x. Iv been useing it now and then. didnt want to use all the time incase i broke it or the new fermis where better and i could sell it off. Well it broke, the fan was stuck on 100% on startup and there was a continuous beep when i restarted my pc after a w7 update of somesort. I did my research and found this was common? so i emailed the retailer i bought it off and i got refunded. Iv just sent it off in the post now and hopefully ill be getting refunded soon. Anyways.

Im abit tight on my money atm so should i buy another vapour x? it was 1000x better than my 9800GT what i have been useing all the time. Or should i go for something abit cheaper like a !024mb CLUB 3D 5770? Is the cooler shown in the pic the one you get? im not to keen on the 512mb version...

Ive clocked up a fair few hours on my XFX with the cooler design that actually exhausts the heated air. Great cards.

The XFX costs more than the vapor X. the vapor x price is £126 and thats the maximum i can go. Yeah a £1 difference lol as i said im kinda tight atm.

A card that exhausts hot air means nothing imo.

Bigger the fan and heatsink is more important.

The Rev.2 cooler is a bit cooler initially but as it warms the internal air it too gets warmer.
The Rev.1 is slightly quieter and helps remove stagnating air.

Rev2 is the full cover? and Rev1 is the one where you can see the board of the card?

Rev 1 was indeed full cover - What BIGBC says is true but I think the cooling power of the rev 2 outweighs the lack of forcing air out of the case.

I'd go for the Vapor-X.

iv got 1 of each design of coolers and the batmobile rev1 cooler is both hotter and much louder than the egg one :(h

My experience is the other way around, well - the Rev.1 is quieter, the Rev.2 is cooler to start with but soon gets to the same temps as the Rev.1.
Is yours a Vapour-X?

Main reason I went with the Rev.1 is to keep the airflow decent and noise levels as low as possible in my Lan box.
