my problem isn't looking for good brands, its that I'm limited to 160mm, preferably 150mm. anything that I find decent in that range is way too large.

modular would be a great bonus too. suggestions?

thanks for all the points lads. I wish we could give rep or karma on this forum.

very interested in the ST65F-G cause 140mm is gonna make things very easy.

Yes, and Silverstone makes good PSUs.

This one was off my radar, but I'll keep that in mind :) People always asking for PSUs and the Prodigy.

Review. I believe JohnnyGuru tests on 110V, and the efficiency is usually a bit better on 220-240V. In any case, looks quite decent.

yea the st65f-g really good. its pretty much silent, i cant hear it over the gpu fans
(something i cant say with regards to the hx+ 650. when the hx+ 650 fan turns on, its definitely audible)
and the 14cm depth makes it a breeze to install. the only beef i have is that the sata power connectors are put on the cable the wrong way round, so i cant use the side panel ssd mounts >.>

By looking at your spec a 550w would do and you would still have some power left.

Yeah. I know that now. I've had power issues in the past as my old case had more than what i've got spec'd now. Then I changed cases and most of the crap I had (calthods, lights, additional HDD'ds) were removed.

I was running 5 HDD's at the time, now down to 2. A 60gb SSD & 1tb Samsung. Will have a 120gb soon, but yes, it's now a little overkill.

If you are worried about 550w than go for 650w,
1000w its a bit too much, IMO I would sell it and get something different.

Best place to sell it???

Online auction site?

Also, what would be a suitable replacement?

I'd avoid FleeBay like the plague. I've done some good business here on the market forums, which I think you do not qualify for yet.

A solid 550 / 650W. That should cover your needs.

IMO, Seasonic are the top dogs in terms of quality, but you pay for it. There are loads of alternatives that can fit your bill, but 650W will be plenty and will cover all your bases and future upgrades for single GPU and CPU setups.

550W for your current setup will easily do it, and then some.
