ok so been looking and tempted to go out and get my self a 970 card

OcUK GeForce GTX 970 "NVIDIA 970 Cooler Edition" 4096MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card **WorldWide Exclusive**

OR

GALAX GeForce GTX 970 OC Silent "Infinity Black Edition" 4096MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card **WorldWide Exclusive**

Will the Infinity Black Edition keep quite while working hard or would the Other be better.

also the clock speed are better on the Infinity Black Edition is this just down to the tweaking so not an option with the other one ?

Cheers

Richard

Out of those two, i'd go with the GALAX card.

If your going to overclock and push the card with volts the GALAX card doesn't provide much more in voltages compared to other cards such as the Gigabyte and MSI

Ok ..

so one thing I do not want is to spend close to £300 and then end up with coil whine

Now the other comes with a more positive it wont have any or RMA .. what about the others ?

Just the Fact any Coil Whine and its replaced .. Id hate to spend and have that

I do want it to be quite as the pc is on the desk ... did think it was strange to have this but its seams people do now and I am liking it .. more so as I have a white case so looks the part ....

mmm well I have a few days to think while the offer is on

Galax Infinity is the best built for sure and great looking. OC is purely the silicon lottery but the Galax gives it teh best chance to OC with 980 PCB great PWM and strong cooler with back plate.

I've gone for the Galax Infinity in this new X99 rig i'm currently building myself, as i don't want coil whine & don't want to take the gamble. :)

The R290 i have in my sig suffers slight coil whine with any mouse that uses 1000Mhz polling rate on desktop, I've had to buy a mouse where i can adjust the polling rate down to 500Mhz to stop it whining.

Well I have a recommended PSU from the list so Hope that's a good start but yes would be so annoyed with my self if I got a card and had the problem.
