SORRY BUT I AM A COMPLETE NOOB TO COMPUTORS !!! :rolleyes: but i was wondering wheteher the spec below was a good deal for 750 quid . thanks for the replies ;)

Did you only get whats in the sig or did you get a monitor and stuff as well?

If not you paid far to much IMO. Id have paid no more than £500 - £550
 
is it 2nd hand? or new, if its 2nd hand its not worth it, anyway if you live in chelsea i can build one for you as i live near the grounds.
but theres lots of things you left out like what hard drive size/speed etc.. does it come with a monitor crt or tft what size.

its not a GeForce 7900 GTX its a 7800gtx, plus you have 939 board & chip with dd2 mem? :D

In my opinion i wouldnt buy anything till nov06- jan 07, its 4 months away. i really want to upgrade but just waiting on ddr3 and some other stuff thats due out after summer.

OcUK don't do the 7800s anymore, but my mate paid similar prices for his 7800GTXs prior to 7900s launch.

As for the memory, the OP says himself its Ballistix, i always thought this was DDR2 - I went for the dual channel stuff [didn't realise it was DDR2] could be wrong, know nowt about Crucial. Either way 2GB DDR will cost similar amount anyway.

Besides, even if he was only saving 200 quid it would be a bargain.

all the bit are new and it has 1 raptor 150 gig and 1 500 gig hard drive it came with no mointer though!

Also the memory is ddr 400 is that any help and run at 500mhz i think :confused:
 
will this memory cause any problem because now you have got me worried :( the rig has beeen running fine for the last three months though!!
 
well haggle bring it down if i were you plus you buying it from a shop or a mate? but personally i dont like to buy second hand parts for my main pc.
 
one of my good friend bought all the components and build it for me all the bit are new because i watched him get them out of the box.
