I was under the impression i had a pretty poor Q6600, it has a 1.3125vid, on my old P5K wifi board, i needed 1.435v to hit 3.2ghz and 1.45v to hit 3.4ghz stable.

I today recieved a new P5E-Deluxe, and its priming quite happily at 1.285v at 3.2ghz!

Its running a little hot (70C load), i think i was maybe a bit too liberal with the AS5, so ill reapply that in the next few days and see if i can get some improvement.

That said i only have one case fan, so possibly 70C isnt too bad, considering the heat tonight.

The aim with the new board was to get 3.6ghz if poss.

Should that be P5Q Deluxe?

If it is then are you aware that leaving the VTT, FSB Term and NB voltages on auto or their lowest non-auto setting will set them very high? They may be holding the clock rather than the low vcore. I would advise setting them on the 2nd lowest non-auto setting (eg- 1.22v rather than 1.20v).

crikey, I've come to the conclusion my Q6600 is below average too because it needs volts and I too have a P5K..

that said I'm happy at 1.45v for 3.4ghz, it all works so I'm not depserate to change.

Mind you its a good point, I couldn't get it over 3ghz with a P5B.
