Its the 2nd xmas with the 360 now. I used to be an avid PC gamer upgrading all the time as I am a graphics ho, but since I got my 360 last xmas I havnt played a game on my PC or upgraded it. Over the last year I have played such delights as PGR3, Kameo, Dead or Alive 4, Saints Row, Tiger Woods, Call of Duty 2 etc but the best thing for me was Oblivion. I have played and loved this game with 100 hours playtime, my PC could not run it and I have been playing it on my 40" TV, awesome. What would I have had to invest to play otherwise! (I played Morrowind to death)

Then today I get Gears of War, Call of Duty 3 and Viva Pinata, this machine just gets better and better :D thanks Microsoft for a great gaming year with minimal cash layout!

I will not be investing in a PS3, not because I dislike Sony (I just got a 40" x series TV) , I just do not see the point. If the machines had come out at the same time I might just have been swayed by the PS3, but hey, they didnt.

Heres here for 2007...

indeed, buying this xbox will save me lots of cash as i wont be upgrading my pc for a long long time now :).

gears of war, is truly amazing, especially in multiplayer as well!

My top pick of the year include GRAW, Gears of War, Marvel and of course Saints Row which stood up to GTA very well. Great game that will probably be forgotten about by next year.

Id be very surprised if GOW doesnt get "Game Of The Year"

If not then the Graphics and the Audio will get awards for their excellence, the Audio could even outshine the graphics as the sound effects and music are to a new standard...

As for a good year for X360 yeah it has been but remember 2007 is going to be even better... :)

I am well chuffed I invested in an Xbox 360, it was the most sensible options for the consoles. Microsoft are using their buying power but the gamers come off best, look at how much they are pushing, they dont 'force' you to buy extras, so if you dont have a HDTV it doesnt matter. Also Xbox Live is amazing and when Vista comes out the interaction between console and PC will be great. Microsoft are throwing a lot into the Xbox and not just relying on their brand name and the main competition seems poor when compared, I did plan to get a PS3 because I love my games, but it doesnt seem right to get one now, theres so much on offer and so much to come for the Xbox that you would be silly to miss! The line-up of games for 2007 is brilliant and theres a lot of exclusives as well. They seem to have killer titles for every genre.

i've always been a PC gamer until i played on a 360, lets just say i havent played a PC game since getting the 360 ;)

the 360 owns, period !!

except for the noise which is annoying ;) as my PC is silent and the 360 sounds like an aircraft trying to take off lol

Cant wait for Forza 2.

I slated the 360 so many times it was unbelievable, now i own one the PC has taken the back seat, absoluterly brilliant. Keep the games coming.

Very happy with my 360 as well, and with Square Enix developing games for the 360 and Age of Conan / Warhammer Online being released on the 360 I see no need to own a top end PC or a PS3.

I got my 360 about 2 weeks ago and am loving it so far. Only come on my PC to check emails and these forums now. I honestlynever thought I would be conveted but I really think I have.

I have 10 games atm for the 360 and always spend about 5 mins trying to decide what to play, i have SO much to do in them all :)

Also, there is a fantastic lineup of games that I am interested in for the 360. The only one for the PC that interests me is Crysis, but that is some way off yet, and even then to have the hardware to run it will cost a bomb.

The only thing that I would say about my 360, is that it also made me sped £600 on a TV, so all together, I suppose the cost is about the same. BUT, I won't need to upgrade my 360 in a year or two years time, whereas if it was a PC I would.

Sorry for the long post :p

I too am happy but would be even more happier if PES6 wasn't rushed out!

I am loving it. Best version of PES6 imo (I only had it on PC though)
Just a shame Konami can't get a better lisence.

I agree with so many that the X360 has replaced my PC gaming habbits.
Its a good market for Microsoft to target and to be honest and once you get past the keyboard mouse issue then i think most are going to be impressed with the quality of games available on the X360 and then the pure simpleness of LIVE.
