I have obviously gotten too used to Steam

I have been playing COD/WaW, getting some practice in for when MW2 is released and had risen up the rankings quite nicely.
I decided to re-install my rig with with Win7 and went through the process of re-installing all my games and after all that work, thought I'd settle back and shoot a few Germans

Logged into WaW with my account, only to find I was back to private 1st class :mad:

I had presumed that all the account details were stored online, I'd never bothered checking to see if they were held locally. My missus actually came running down the stairs when she heard me swearing!
Thats 3 months worth of gaming to do again - gutted
Lesson learnt for next time

Go on one of those "exp" servers, you can get to the same place you were before in no time.

I have seen a couple of these, but when playing, they still give out the normal 10pts per kill, so think the moment has passed for them..
