What a waste

Tragic waste of life after taking what seems an harmless drug unless taken to excess. Unfortunately they don't make people more aware of how dangerous this over the counter pain killer is if taken to excess, they should be prescription only. I have to take 8 of these every day and local pharmacy who delivers my other drugs delivers a bottle containing 300 every month, they are to easy to get hold of. :(

Sad yes, but there is a deeper problem in a lack of education. If people think they can use an overdose as a cry for help and simply just get their stomach pumped and be right as rain again then they have clearly been miss-informed. I am fully in support of the theory that we are born a blank canvas and are shaped by our life experiences. There is a wider problem of an overall unresponcible society that surrounds some people.

Definitly tragic, dusnt help that they probably get the idea from some stupid tv program

Aye, and a lot fo the time I see the people on tv are fine afterwards. reality isn't so forgiving. I guess something like an overdose isn't so instant, kids maybe think they can do it to make a point without ever realising the danger of a drug as common as paracetamol.

Scary I guess, see a lot about kids killing themselves recently. Whatever could motivate someone to do that is beyond my comprehension. Oh well, off to bed.

Sad thing is that you also get people not intending to commit suicide sometimes overdosing on things like paracetamol. It is a very slow and painful death too - liver basically just packs in and it takes a few days to die.

I'm assuming that some of these suicides result from people just assuming that they will drift off to sleep and die painlessly in reality it is a pretty horrible way to go.

Awful, his liver will be dead.

I think parents need to be far more supporting to there children these days even if they think its being in the way but society today has so many problems from bullying to pressure at school than it did 20, 30 years ago.

Its a terrible thing for all concerned and without wishing to seem disrespectful, surely at age 14 he should have enough sense to realise the end result of something like this? Trying to remember myself at that age but surely they should have the common sense/knowledge to know to many pills of any kind are bad news.
