What about the new Vive wands?

I haven't heard anything about new wands for the Vive.

Looking back at some of the Vive Pro reviews from earlier this year (e.g. Tested), Vive was saying that new 2.0 wands would be released at the same time as the Vive Pro.

HTC has released new 2.0 trackers, but the 2.0 wands don't get a mention.

The Tested guys said in their vid that they had seen the 2.0 wands (and they're blue, just like the Pro), and they also that HTC said the wands would be released with the Vive Pro.

But here we are with no release for the wands...does this mean knuckles is coming instead? Obvs not but man can dream...

To be frank, the whole thing is a complete cluster mess.

HTC/Valve and whoever else is involved need to be far clearer to the customer base on a communication level with one concise message. We get snippets from developers about new gear, press releases about controllers 2.0, stations 2.0 with confusing timeframes, all of which leaves even the most hardened of enthusiasts dazed and confused, let alone the average consumer.

Just a blog would send a clear roadmap going forward. I realise we're bouncing on the edge of tech, r&d is ongoing constantly and we can't have exact timeframes, but one voice would solve the confusion. HTC, Valve, Developers, guys like tested, suppliers like Oc playing guessing games (sorry Nik) it does nobody any favours.

I haven't a clue about the controller situation, but I'll say this, it's the number one situation that's stopping me spending £800 on the Vive Pro. The HMD cost isn't the issue for me, it's being stuck with near 2 year old controllers, that are prone to fail with heavily recharged batteries, with active base stations that have been twirling away on my walls for just as long being a close second.
