Hi,

Ive been looking through papers, auto trader and everywhere for a car, found some nice ones on autotrader that I like.

Im going towards a mk5 fiiesta with a 1.25 just to rack in some ncb (hopefully)
I was looking earlier at focus etc but as I don't comute to work (2mins walk up the road) im looking for something smallish and used pleasure only! :D

Ive been looking at mk5 fiesta's in the year 2002 as it came with A/C etc and few more goodies. the freestyle model I seem to have found offer 3 dorr with loads of goodies. Now for my first car I think its great, 1.25 engine, font fogs abs, cd player etc. now what do you guys think?
another model that has caught my eyes is a the Fiesta Black model, with added leather seats and "quickclear" windscreen which I though is cool, well the car will be parked in the driveway and we do get quite a few frosty mornings here.

Oh Ive got a budget of around £4-5k depending on the car.

I want no slagging off here,

Cheers

but for that money I would be getting a pap fiesta mk6 like the finessie or LX which I dont think I can hack :-/

Besides I want a car too last me 2-3 years maybe.

I will have another look at focus,

I like the look of the MK6 fiesta 3door and focus mk1.5, not that keen on mk5 but its better than the mk4

Yeah I understand where you are coming from with in a few weeks/months time I will get bored,

For the money which focus should I be aiming to look for the pre-facelifter 1999-02 or 02-04 facelift?

I've gotta admit the facelift focus looks better than the prevous, also the 60/40 rear seats are a plus.

If you would like a bit of perspective here, If you didnt live miles away you could have my focus 1.6 limited edition for that money. 02 reg full leather, air con, heted front screen, heated seats 40000 miles Proper koni adjustable suspension (and stock) 17" lenso KR5 wheels (and stock) and a magnex cat back exhaust (and stock).
Its just over 100bhp and ins group 5 I think.
Or you could have a fiesta with seats and a steering wheel. :D

Where abouts are you?

toooo far.

yeah it looks like focus would be my best bet, the insurence doesn't change tho from a fiesta

sorry,

Is the gear pre-facelift focus any better then a zaetec pre-facelift?

Ive been hoving all over FFOC

thanks

Cheers fox,

Ive been looking at other cars and I only wish insurence companys wasn't so harsh on younger drivers as there are some lovely BMW's in my price range whilst looking through autotrader.
