what about this card any good ??

Am going to replace my broken 8800 gts oc card with this ATI Radeon HD 5770 1024MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card i this a good choice and will it run better ?? or is there a better card for the 120 quid mark ?

The 5770 will be a lot better, performance is not to far off or similar to 4870 or 4890

Both cards should cope with that resolution quite easily. I would get the 5770 simply because it would consume much less power.

If you are only planing on ever running 1 graphics card then a 4890 is a much much much better choice then a 5770 as it's just so much faster.

My brother has just been looking at the same option after he found that GTA IV doesn't like his old 7800GT!

After looking around he went for the 4890 over the 5770. The 5770 has DX11 functionality but the 4890 is just faster in all the reviews we've read. PC Zone raves about the 58xx series but says to get the 4890 over the 5770
