Hi :D

I am hoping for some advice on this spec. It will be mainly used for browsing the internet, emails and word processing.

I am going to re-use my 2 x 160GB HDD so as to save a few bob.


Case: Cooler Master Elite 330 with Cooler Master eXtreme Power 500W PSU

Motherboard: Asus P8H61-M LE/USB3 Intel H61 Socket 1155 8 Channel HD Audio mATX Motherboard

Processor: Intel Core i3 2120 3.3GHz

RAM: Corsair XMS3 2x4GB

It prices up at around the £250 mark.

I would very much appreciate any advice, alterations etc?

That mobo has USB3 and sata3. Budget case but i included a cheap branded PSU....i wouldnt really want to use the included PSU with the coolermaster (i know you aren't using the machine for anything heavy but still). There is a nice lil modular CM silent power 500W unit for £45....which i would be highly inclined to buy if it was me.

Save even more money, for your stated uses 8GB is just a waste.

Great, thanks for taking the time to put that together for me ;)

Better Mobo than the Asus. Yes DVD and HDD's are all SATA.

It agree, worth the extra for the silent PSU.

You are welcome, at 100 posts you get free delivery.....ok it's just over £10 but every lil helps right? Would cover the difference between the 430W and the 500W modular PSU :)
