im looking for an air cooler for my i7 950 rig in an antec 1200 case any views on what cooler to go for? also will it clash will wat ram i will get and i dont like the idea of water even a seald one ,or have in got nothing to worry about?
any help would be appreciated :D

ive never heard of a sealed unit leaking,so dont think there is anything to worry about ,have a look corsair h70 0r h50,good things said about the noctua nh-d14

Not that much temp difference between a h50, and say a Prolimatech megahalem on Push/Pull config.

I'd either go for a decent aircooler (Megahalem, Noctua d14 etc) or just save and get a custom watercooling loop. The h50/h70's are both poor excuses for 'watercooling'

I have read and read but if its not the H50 or H70 its going to have to be the Spire Thermax Eclipse II.

That being said, that is on reviews only as I know little of air cooling, Im setting my main rig up fully water cooled and my overclocking play rig was going to be cooled with the Spire Thermax Eclipse II.

Now I have been reading more I think the H50 will be better, wait until I find a chip that's pushing the boundary's and drop my LN2 pot on it and have some fun

What Im saying really is Im quite a serious overclocker , like many here and the H50 has a good rep, cant go wrong!
If you do sweat leaks too much then the Spire Thermax Eclipse II would be my choosing.

Hmm the Spire is similar to the Alpenfohn Nordwand and it really doesn't compare to the Noctua NH-D14 or Thermalright Silver Arrow. And even if it can match it, it'll be wayyy louder.

I have gone from a Coolit Domino ALC to a Noctua NH-D14, and I wouldn't look back, it is cooler and quieter, but larger :D
