I have always had quite a few gaming PCs as when I upgrade I normally just build guest PCs with the spares but recently game updates across multiple machines has become a real chore.
Back in the day, it would be install the game and update on one PC and then copy that folder to the other PCs, let steam check the files and you are good to go.
Now however (Black ops2) it tries downloading for hours the multiplayer and zombies.
The other game is BF3, I copy across the entire BF3 folder all updated and it scans it AND still tries downloading a 3 gb update.
I work away from home during the week and have really slow internet, it has become a real faff trying to get all machines updated for random gaming sessions.
Am I missing something?
