Ok I have a BT HH > Homeplug > Switch > PS3
Also the BT HH > Dlink Router (wireless) > Laptop
Both the PS3 and Laptop connect to the internet fine, however I used to run the PS3 on the wireless with the laptop and it would see the media server fine.
Now because the connection on the laptop is running off the router and the connection off the PS3 is running of the BT HH modem the media server doesn't see the PS3 and vica versa.
I've forwarded ports on the modem and router to try and get them to talk to each other without much luck...
Router:
Forwarded 5001 (media server) for the laptop.
HH
Forwarded 5001 (media server) for the PS3.
Should they be the other way round? I probably don't even need to be forwarding and it's something else. Networking n00b.
