What app is this to create a welcome landing page?

Cheers.

No problemo, not many people are on the static FBML ship yet, which is surprising given the customisability it gives you.

Although, I would be careful with how you use it. A welcome page may not be the best implementation. Facebook users still expect the wall, and OcUK's page is quite good in terms of demonstrating interaction with the community. I don't think people on FB really want to see another version of your homepage within it. FBML shines when you have additional pages/info you want to display. Competitions etc really shine via FBML.

Is it just me or is the app not working at the moment?
I found two apps FBML and FBML 2.
When I go to them it defaults to the wall, so I hit info and it gives me the option to like it or 'Go to app', is the go to app the installation button? As it just redirects me to my newsfeed.
I've been having a lot of trouble with facebook pages, having a tough time getting the mailchimp app working too.

Yeah, I'm trying to get up to speed with my social media marketing knowledge so it's more of an exercise right now, but I was planning on having a single graphic on the landing page with a company splash image and a request to 'Like' the page before proceeding in the attempt to up visitor to like conversions.

It should just be FBML, ours is working but I installed it a while back. When you are on your page's settings page, look for applications down the left menu and FBML should show up under there. Hit go to application and it should take you to your editable area. If it doesn't something is wrong, probably not your end, which might be why FBML2 exists?

FBML is being deprecated chaps!

Support stopped in early March... not sure how much longer current pages will remain functional - Everything is moving over to the new iFrame format which although sounds crap is pretty cool ;)

Here you go: http://bit.ly/fAR893

You basically need to become a FB Developer and make an App that is your custom page :)

Facebook recently announced that on March 11, 2011, the Static FBML application will no longer be available to be added to Pages and that no new FBML applications can be created after that date.

Well that explains why I can't install the app!
The iframe tab actually reminds me of an article I stumbled across in .net the other week about facebook pages, might be time to dig it out! Looks pretty cool being able to use full html, css and js in the iframe.

Cheers guys :)

Damn! That seems to be a much more convoluted method of building pages for FB.. guess its got some benefits though with the control of your content and functionality. Lucky I hadn't put too much time into our FBML app.
