MUMs basement!
I got a floppy drive on my pc with so many extra floppy disks hanging around..does any one have any idea to how i can use them..other than storage. Is there any thing floppy drives n disk are useful in these modern times???

Havent used a floppy drive since the windows 98 days when u needed one to boot from before a fresh install....

So, in short, no.

Their most recent use was for doing BIOS updates but they can usually be done from a USB pen these days so they are pretty much extinct.

Not a lot tbh.
I still have a pack of 10 here with a USB floppy drive.
I also have an old parrallel port Zip drive sitting in a box. (With 7 100Mb disks!)

Until recently I used one to install SCSI drivers and I still have mine sitting on the inside of my case. I doubt they'll be useful for anything now.

When I was younger I had a bin bag full of Atari ST 720K disks. Me and my mate split in two, each went two and end of the garden and let battle commence. Floppies have an interesting curved flight path when thrown correctly :)

About all they're good for these days.

I had a floppy drive installed up untill I got my current case about 18months ago. I didn't use it but couldn't be bothered to remove it:p When I had my current case, I couldn't be bothered to fit it.

I used to use them for some time just as boot disks and to bios flash, but now I can boot from CD and flash very easily with Gigabytes @BIOS program. My graphics cards can be flashed from a USB disk, but it might be better to just buy Asus or MSI cards from now on so I dont need to flash.

Even then the UBCD does for most things, CD's and USB sticks are bottable, floppy is pretty much dead as a modern media. It has its uses with older systems, but no use at all with >3 year old tech.
