What are hotels like currently? (UK)

Obviously i am assuming just much quieter? Anyone been staying/visiting hotels around the country? Does it just feel...ghostlike when you are walking around in one?

Was browsing Expedia etc and prices are low...no surprise there but anyone taking advantage?

London insight would be good.

Most of the ones I walk past in London are closed or empty.

Mm i thought the same so was surprised to see how many were on Expedia etc...may have to ring direct.

We've booked Mottram Hall (Cheshire) in around 2 weeks.

Only annoyance is having to wear a mask when walking around the hotel and having to pre-book the gym/pool slots. But i'm hoping the hotel itself is fairly quiet.

They are pretty much empty, I've had to work away a few times over the past 6 weeks, Bournemouth, Durham, Skipton. Each hotel was pretty much empty and also very COVID safe. Breakfast picked up from Reception for example.
