Hey,

I guess this is the right section.

Basically my friends have Creative Zens, but I was more thinking of the 80 GB apple Ipod.

I have read a few reviews (just random googling honestly) and they had said that they are great - BUT the sound quality isn't the greatest in the world.

They also mentioned that apple Itunes is a little bit of a pain in the butt - is it ok to rip CD's and use MP3's that I already have on my PC, or is there a lot of messing about. A review I read said that it can be a bit tricky (I can't link to the review, because it has like 20 competitors to OCUK listed on it).

Damn :( I have now done the "lets do some research to help" thing and even more confused :(

Are the Touch Ipods good ? better than the regular ones ? The only thing that puts me off is the tiny amount of space vs price of the classic ones :/

Well I just got mine from OCUK (along with a DVD drive cause mine died :() so here is hoping :) Worst happens I guess there is always the distance selling act :/

Well hopefully if citylink have keep up with their recent service to me I should have it sometime tomorrow I really wasn't in the market for an MP3 player till a few days ago - but using a 256MB cell phone for MP3 play back (with headphones) grinds a bit. Not enough music at all :p

Well, my order seems to be stuck in the warehouse queue so it looks like I won't get my new toy for tomorrow :(

Lets hope for friday then, I am quite excitted about it for some reason :/

Well - I got my IPOD Classic.

So far I am liking it a lot, 80GB of space - and I have filled about maybe 15 GB so far :p still more stuff to put on though.

Overall quality feels extremely nice, solid build quality. Screen is sxtremely readable, with all the text and graphics bright and crisp.

All the charging is done via a USB port, and it charges pretty quickly (a few hours or so, I didn't exactly take much notice honestly).

How difficult importing music is really depends on how used to Itunes you are... for me I never used it before so took a few moments, but once I did everything is extremely intuitive.

Overall volume is pretty loud too, even on some of the more quiet recordings, and the more "heavy metal" tracks sound loud, crisp and clear. I am using the headphones I received with it for the moment - and they sound pretty good; albeit a little strange to wear at first.

Overall though I am very happy with the product :)

there's a reason ipods are so popular :)

I was a little nervous honestly, because my friend basically told me they are "a fashion accessory, and other players are far better for cheaper" :/

He owns a zen, but with all the support creative give their customers, I decided I didn't want to overwhelm myself with their excellent service... :p
