Hi,

Switched to H11 Osrams ages ago but still not happy with the lack of lighting provided. Spoke to Lexus dealership and they don't do upgrades as apparently each Xenon headlight alone is £600 without bulb and on top of that is the labour and wiring loom.

Am I stuck with H11s?

Cheers :)

If the car has projector headlights you can, at your own risk, upgrade to HID's using a HID conversion kit. The legality is dubious but unlike doing it to reflector lenses, the beam output will be as near as makes no difference the same as factory HID's.

Factory HID lighting should be a lot better than the lighting I have right now. Not sure whether I have projector or reflectors though. Who would need to carry out the conversion in order for it to be legal/pass MOT?

I switched to projector headlights on my car so i can use HIDs safely.

I dont think i could ever bare my self to go back to halogens after HIDs, i would feel blind at night :(

Retrofitted HID's in a projector lense will pass an MOT. Whether they really should or not is a huge grey area, but they will.
