What Are My Options?

My ISP Blueleaf Internet has ceased to trade (gone bust) as from yesterday, 7th September 2006, Ofcom has been informed I believe.

I still have my broadband connection.

What are my options, and how would I get a MAC code (if this is possible)?

If the ISP has ceased to trade, can BT Wholesale "untag" my line?

The 2 things I would like to obtain is

1) A MAC code.

2) Not having cancel my broadband service so that when I go with another ISP I have to pay the connection fee.

Many thanks for your suggestions. :)

If Blueleaf can't/won't give you a MAC code, you're going to get neither of those.
BTw should remove the tag in due course, or an ISP with a clue could push to get it done. Either way, you're looking at another activation fee (or a long contract term to defer it).

Edit: The number in this might be useful.

It appears that Blueleaf Internet's customers, have been taken over by an ISP called Eurisp (which I have never heard off), they are offering an ADSL Max product (no download limits they say), but a years contract, which I don't want. It seems that they will not give those who don't want to accept their offer a MAC code.

Now I realise that giving a MAC code is a voluntary practice by ISPs, but it seems I don't have any option (as I don't want a years contract) but to cease my current ADSL Max connection with BT Wholesale, and then reactivate again with another ISP, or does anybody have any other suggestions? :)
